The best tungsten electrode for AC TIG welding aluminum on transformer based TIG welders. This is the optimal choice for welding aluminum at low to medium amperage ranges.

Pure (EWP) unalloyed tungsten electrodes provide good stability when used with alternating current, either balanced wave or continuously high frequency stabilized. Maintain a clean, balled end which is preferred for aluminum and magnesium welding.

Electrodes are 7" (175mm) in length and packaged 10 rods per box. All tungstens have colour coded tips for easy identification, and meet AWSA5.12 specifications. Electrodes are supplied with a smooth, round, bright centerless ground finish.
