Versatile, High-Performance Welding for Heavy Industrial Applications

The Comparc Fortis 400 is built to meet the demands of heavy industrial welding, combining power and versatility with a robust design. With the capability to handle MIG (GMAW), TIG DC/Pulsed (GTAW/GTAW-P), and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), this machine is ideal for a range of applications, from fabrication shops to large-scale construction projects. Offering a continuous output of 400 amps at 100% duty cycle, the Fortis 400 provides consistent, reliable performance for extended periods. Designed for precision and control, the Fortis 400 features electronic voltage and current control, a digital volt/amp meter with memory, and a solid-state contactor for smooth, efficient operation. Thermal overload protection, a 14-pin receptacle for feeders, and a fan-on-demand system enhance safety and longevity, allowing you to focus on your work without interruption. This welder accommodates a current range of 5-550 amps (CC) and 10-36 volts (CV), with a maximum open-circuit voltage of 90V, DC. The Fortis 400 is compatible with a variety of optional accessories, including the S 604 RT Wire Feeder, Pulsarc Pulse Control, and 400A MIG torches. Whether you're working with heavy steel or intricate aluminum, this machine offers the power, durability, and flexibility you need to tackle tough jobs with confidence.
