Premium High-Performance ER70S-6 Wire Made with a Dry-Drawing, Copper-Free Process

UltraArc S6 is a high-performance uncoppered ER70S-6 MIG welding wire designed for cleaner welding, smoother feeding, and dramatically lower spatter than traditional copper-coated wires. Manufactured using a dry-drawing process, UltraArc S6 eliminates the dust, debris, and contamination common in copper-coated alternatives.

The result is a wire that feeds flawlessly, welds cleaner, and protects your consumables and drive rolls — while delivering top-tier weld quality in both manual and robotic applications.

The number one thing that manual welders notice when first trying copper-free wire, is the major reduction in spatter, and the smoother more stable arc. We also hear that it is easier to achieve spray transfer, and less likely to short circuit than coppered wire.

In robotic applications, the feedback we hear on day one is again that the spatter is greatly reduced, the welds are more attractive, and that the weld cell makes a bit less smoke. After an extended period of time, customer feedback is that their cell now requires fewer tip changes, and has less feeding issues.

The Weldready team has toured the factory where this wire is made in Italy, and to say the facility is clean and impressive is putting it lightly. Premium, European copper-free MIG wires cost a lot more than this from other brands!

Features:

  • Reduced fume production
  • Rapid start of the arc
  • Arc stability achieved faster
  • Constant stick out prevents wire from sticking to nozzle
  • Consistent wire feeding, constant sliding
  • Perfectly wound spools and drums increase feeding efficiency
  • Stable and uninterrupted welding arc
  • Significant reduction in splatter
  • Very limited presence of silicates
  • Excellent aesthetic quality of the weld bead
  • Surface of wire is treated to prevent oxidation from atmospheric exposure
  • Available in 20kg spools, and 250kg drums
  • Classification & Approval: AWS A5.18 ER70s-6, CWB B-G 49A 3 C1 S6
