This is the best multi-purpose tungsten for those that primarily do DC TIG welding. It works well with AC, but we suggest Chartreuse for a multipurpose that does well with aluminum. Blue tungsten is very popular with chassis builders working with Chromoly.

2% Lanthanated (EWLa-2) provides easy arc starting, improved arc stability and significantly reduced tip erosion rate. Operates well with alternating current or direct current, either polarity. 

Electrodes are 7" (175mm) in length and packaged 10 rods per box. All tungstens have colour coded tips for easy identification, and meet AWSA5.12 specifications. Electrodes are supplied with a smooth, round, bright centerless ground finish.
