CEA Matrix X 400 Amp AC/DC TIG Welder
Key Features:
-
Advanced X VISION Interface: One-click knob control with intuitive digital display for current, voltage, preset scrolling, job memory, and USB cloning of settings.
-
High-Performance AC/DC TIG: Ideal for welding aluminum alloys (AC) and versatile applications on steel and stainless (DC). Min current: 3 A (AC), 1 A (DC).
-
Smart HF Ignition & Pulse Modes: Fast, clean arc starts via HF ignition; includes “Easy Pulse,” coldTACK, and Running coldTACK for precise low-heat welds.
-
Energy-Saving Design: Cooling fan and water cooling systems activate only when needed for quieter, efficient operation.
-
Rugged Construction: Compact, lightweight, metal-frame build with IP23S protection — ideal for tough industrial environments.
-
MMA Mode: Also handles MMA/stick welding with basic and cellulitic electrodes — an all-in-one power source.
Special Welding Features:
- COLDTACK - Performs a spot weld with minimal thermal input at the push of a button
- RUNNING COLD TACK (RCT) - Repeats a single cold tack at a specified continuous pace. Achieves a cold and perfect welding seam with less heat input than possible with any pulse wave form.
- CYCLE FUNCTION - Allows quick switching between two preselected current values with a simple press of the torch trigger—ideal for welding varying thickness profiles that require ongoing current adjustments.
- BALANCE PLUS - Independently adjust both current time and amplitude while staying in either positive or negative polarity. Offers a perfect control of penetration and arc cleaning with a drastic reduction in lateral undercuts.
- NEGATIVE TIG IGNITION - Helps to reduce possible inclusions during ignition phase
- ADVANCED MMA FUNCTIONS - Adjustable arc force and hot start to improve arc striking and prevent electrode sticking
AC Wave Shapes:
- DYNAMIC - Square wave with high arc dynamics for all applications.
- SOFT - Sinusoidal wave with smoother and softer arc. Greatly reduced noise, ideal for medium thickness
- SPEED - Mixed wave. Optimal penetration at high welding speed and low consumption of tungsten electrode
- COLD - Triangular wave offers low heat transfer with reduced deformation. Ideal for thin materials
Pulsed TIG Options:
- SYN PULSE - Synergically generates pulse frequency and base current
- ULTRA FAST - Adjust frequency up to 2000 Hz
- FAST PULSE - Adjust frequency from 0.5Hz to 500 Hz
- SLOW PULSE - Separately adjust current/time of peak and base
