SW-1F High Frequency Start Button - Flush

This low profile button can be quickly and easily attached to the handle of your TIG torch with electrical tape for the lightest, lowest profile option for high frequency arc starts. There is a small, round, flush button with a very satisfying "click" when pressed. The button itself is the highest quality we could find, and we trust it to last for countless presses.

You can either buy the switch on it's own and rig it up for yourself, or have us put together a turn key solution complete with adapter plug for you. We stock this product for the most common Miller, Lincoln, and ESAB welders, but we can also make them custom for any unit.

Features:

  • Ultra low profile flush design
  • Satisfying and reliable button press
  • Pre-assembled including 26.5' of wire

Options Available:

  • Button with 6" leads
  • Miller 14 Pin with 26.5' leads
  • Lincoln 6 Pin with 26.5' leads
  • Tweco/ESAB 8 Pin with 26.5' leads
  • Everlast 7 Pin with 26.5' leads

freedom from the pedal

I’m working on a gate project. It’s basically a large framework, with a framework field. There are a lot of short length welds all over the place. And often I weld alternately on opposite sides to mitigate heat-distortion. The push button on the torch makes it easy to work around the piece without having to move the pedal. And having the push button cable in the torch lead shroud makes one less cable on the floor. With a little post-flow gas, I can control heat by using on off. I also set a pulse about 1 per second so I can end the weld in the pulse trough to mitigate crater. This flat, low profile push button is very easy to operate on the torch handle.

I made my own adjustable mounting strap using vinyl electrical tape as follows: two wraps of tape around torch handle and switch body with adhesive side up, snug enough to stay in place by friction but not prohibited repositioning. Then one wrap with adhesive side down so it’s not a sticky mess.
