ER4043 is a 5% Silicon aluminum alloy filler metal that is one of the most widely used aluminum welding alloys for fabrication and general repairs. 4043 is softer  and less brittle than 5356 and is often considered easier to work with.

10 Pound tubes are premium made in Canada Nexalloy brand rods. 1 Pound tubes are standard grade Crossfire rods.

Features:

• Alloyed primarily with silicon and magnesium
• Good fluidity of weld puddle
• Stellar corrosion resistance
• Commonly used for heat-treatable alloys 6061 and 6063
• Sometimes used for non heat-treatable alloy 3003 or aluminum cast
• Conforms to AWS A5.10, CWB
• Soft and easier to work with than alternatives
